Rhonda has a long history of work in Iowa’s sexual and reproductive health community. She is one of Iowa’s leading sexuality educators with experience in coalition leadership, reproductive health counseling, and curriculum development. She holds a Master of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education from Iowa State University.

Joy graduated with a B.A. from Linfield College in Oregon, with a major in Sociology and a minor in Spanish. Her work in social services ranges from a children’s advocacy center and refugee resettlement to case management for pregnant and parenting moms and after-school programming for young women.

Internships Available

The FutureNet office, located in Des Moines, is now offering volunteer internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students.

Prospective interns should be hard working, enthusiastic, and flexible individuals who seek a working knowledge of adolescent sexual health programs, including community coalition work, public policy, best practices in teen pregnancy prevention, teen parenting, sexuality education programs, and related issues. We are especially interested in interns who have expertise in written communications, resource coordination, and program evaluation.
